Nachdem ja derzeit ein Verfahren gegen The Pirate Bay läuft finden sich überall diverseste Berichte darüber. Aufgefallen ist mir im Artikel Day 3 – The Pirate Bay’s ‘King Kong’ Defense auf TorrentFreak folgende Aussage:

“EU directive 2000/31/EG says that he who provides an information service is not responsible for the information that is being transferred. In order to be responsible, the service provider must initiate the transfer. But the admins of The Pirate Bay don’t initiate transfers. It’s the users that do and they are physically identifiable people. They call themselves names like King Kong,” Samuelsson told the court.

“According to legal procedure, the accusations must be against an individual and there must be a close tie between the perpetrators of a crime and those who are assisting. This tie has not been shown. The prosecutor must show that Carl Lundström personally has interacted with the user King Kong, who may very well be found in the jungles of Cambodia,” the lawyer added.

A Royal Navy nuclear submarine and a French vessel have been damaged in a collision deep below the surface of the Atlantic Ocean. HMS Vanguard and Le Triomphant, which were both said to have been carrying nuclear missiles, are believed to have crashed while submerged on 3 or 4 February, according to reports. The submarines had a total of around 250 sailors on board…”They can’t see each other in the water,” an official said. The collision raises questions about the submarines’ sonar and radar and why they did not detect one another. Vanguard, one of Britain’s four V-class submarines that make up the Trident nuclear deterrent, was said to have visible dents on her hull as she was towed home last night. Triomphant’s sonar dome was reported to be extensively damaged.

Der Atlantik ist ja nicht gerade klein, U-Boote gibt es auch nicht sonderlich viele, da fragt man sich schon, wie groß die Wahrscheinlichkeit von einem derartigen Zusammenstoß überhaupt sein kann.
